OUR STORY

The Sir Syed Foundation, also known as SSF, is a non-governmental organization that was formed in 2017 by the students, alumni, and other professionals of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), India, with the sole purpose of helping the people and their children of our country.

It is registered under the Societies Act of 1860 of the Government of India and is also registered with the UNDESA (United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs) Non-Governmental Organization Branch, USA.

• At the heart of our work is the belief that education is the key to unlocking a child's potential and that every child deserves access to the tools and resources they need to succeed. 

• We believe that by investing in children, we are investing in the future of our communities, our country, and our world. 

At the Syed Foundation, we are committed to providing children with the support they need to succeed. We believe in a child-centered approach to education, where each child is valued and respected for their unique talents and abilities. We strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

• We also believe in the power of peer-to-peer learning. Our "mission education" program empowers children to take an active role in their own education by teaching and learning from one another. This approach not only helps children develop important leadership skills but also fosters a sense of community and teamwork that are essential for success.

• We are also committed to advocating for the rights of children, both locally and globally. We believe that every child has the right to a safe and supportive learning environment, as well as access to basic necessities such as food, water, and healthcare.
